This 4 Days Uganda safari with gorilla trekking & wildlife tour is a short trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 4 days Uganda Safari is an exclusive safari itinerary that enables you to experience wildlife viewing on a game drive and boat cruise as well as coming close to the elusive mountain gorillas.
On the 4 days/3 nights Uganda safari you will have a chance to have an amazing boat cruise at the Kazinga channel and have a chance to sight several wildlife and bird species. Later proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park for Gorilla trekking and later transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Uganda safari with Gorilla trekking & Wildlife tour
After your early breakfast at hotel, your driver will pick you up and head directly to the western part of Uganda where both the Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Parks are found.
The transfer to queen Elizabeth leads you through Masaka road where your first stop will be at the equator for the Zero latitude line experience and photo moments.
Thereafter, you proceed to Mbarara town for lunch and continue with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving late afternoon.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and embark on an evening game drive after which you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early cup of coffee/tea, your guide will come in to pick you for a tour in the park. You will go for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and possibly encounter the cats as they retire from the hunt.
From this game drive, you are likely to spot on animal like the; lions, elephants, buffalos, leopard, antelopes among others with other several species of birds in this park.
After game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, check out and go for a special boat cruise along the Kazinga channel inside the park. Here you will be able to sight hippos, crocodiles, elephants and many other wildlife and aquatic life.
You will also spot an array of birds on the bay. After the boat cruise, you will return to your lodge, have lunch and check out. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, this place is famous for tree climbing lions and you could be lucky to see some.
Continue to Bwindi with arrival in the evening and head straight to your lodge to check in. later dinner and overnight
Have an early morning breakfast at hotel and head to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides. During the briefing, you are allocated a gorilla group and escorted by a ranger guide, each group with 8 trekkers in search of a habituated gorilla family.
Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, this is because they are in their natural habitat and can move as much as they want.
However, with the rangers you are guaranteed to see the gorillas since they are tracked every day and therefore, they will take you to where they have spent their day.
After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed 1 hour with them up close. Take photos and see the gorilla group interact, in no time the 1 hour will be gone and you will have to return to the park headquarters.
You are welcomed back and given a congratulatory certificate. Thereafter, you are transferred to your hotel for late lunch and relaxation.
After an early breakfast, your will transfer back to Kampala with en route lunch in Mbarara. Arrive in Kampala in the evening. The driver will take you to your hotel or to Entebbe International Airport if your flight is that very day.
