Detailed itinerary of the 6 Days Uganda gorilla tour
From hotel after breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda. A stop visit will be made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.
This is the only large habitat for the Rhinos in Uganda and therefore a great way to see all the Big Five African animals. After the Rhino trek, proceed on your Uganda safari to Murchison Falls with a stopover in Masindi for lunch.
Reach the park through Kichumbanyobo gate South of Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival at the park, have a short game drive en route to your lodge where you spend the night after dinner.

At your lodge, enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, go engage in a morning game drive. Catch up with early morning risers on your 2-3 hours wildlife viewing tour in the Northern section of Murchison Falls National Park.
Variety of wildlife to expect to see on a game drive include the Rothschild giraffes, African bush elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, antelopes, birds and others.
Have lunch break afterwards and at 2:00pm, undertake a boat cruise on Victoria Nile towards the bottom of Murchison Falls.
This 2-3 hours’ boat ride allows you capture views of the Nile crocodiles as they bask along the river banks, hippos, aquatic birds plus other wildlife.
Your experience will include a hike to the top of the falls to witness it squeeze itself in a narrow rock of 7 meters before plunging about 43m down.

After breakfast, meet your guide for transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, about 7 hours’ drive via Hoima. Lunch break will be made in Fort Poral and you proceed to your lodge in Kibale.

Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, get to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre to be briefed about chimpanzee tracking rules.
Proceed for 2-4 hours chimpanzee trek adventure which lets you enjoy a maximum of 1 hour face to face with chimpanzees.
Kibale being a home to 13 primate species, there is opportunity for you to also enjoy great sight of other primates and different forest birds.
Return to lodge, check out then undertake 5 to 6 hours’ drive trip to Bwindi through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Enjoy great view of the tree climbing lions and other wildlife then continue to Savanna Resort to have lunch. Later, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check into the lodge.

Get up early since this is a long-awaited day. Prepare, take your breakfast and get to Bwindi offices with some snacks and water. You will be briefed on gorilla trekking rules then proceed on 2-6 hours’ trek to see mountain gorillas.
Return after one hour of close interaction with these creatures and photography. Have a relaxed afternoon and later pay a visit to Batwa community for a memorable cultural experience.

Have breakfast at hotel and after embark on the drive for a return to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. Have lunch en route and continue to Kampala for drop off or to Entebbe International Airport for a departure flight. You can do shopping at a craft centre before departure if interested.
